About St John's, Stansted Mountfitchet

We are a worshipping community at the heart of Stansted.

What we believe

  • We believe in Jesus Christ, Son of God
  • We believe that he died and rose again
  • We believe that He will come again
  • We believe that his Gospel of Love should be communicated to the whole world
  • And in particular that we should be an integral part of this Gospel acted out in loving service to this community

The People of St John's gather for worship each week in the Victorian building behind the War Memorial gardens in the heart of Stansted Mountfitchet.  It is a place of prayer and quietness for everyone.

We are a very welcoming church and have a variety of worship services from the Tuesday St John's Tots very informal worship to the Sung Parish Communion on Sundays.  We have quiet early morning communion services and more boisterous, Family Service with simple Holy Communion on the 2nd Sunday of every month.

We would be very pleased to see you there.
